When Failure Becomes Your Greatest Teacher : Personal Experience

I have failed a few times in my life - not academically, of course, but in ways that truly mattered to me. And these were the times when I gave my all. I did everything I could. I devoted my life, poured in every ounce of effort, and gave all my concentration to what I was chasing. And yet… in return, what did I get? Failure. That heart-wrenching, gut-twisting feeling of giving everything and still falling short. I think God has decided that 2025 is going to be my most lesson-filled year because all of these overwhelming failures happened in the same half of the year. And if that wasn’t enough, I also lost so many of my “known ones.” I saw the true faces of people I once trusted, the back-talkers and fair-weather friends. I’ve never been a kid who would put her heart into something and not succeed. I was used to achieving. But I suppose God wanted to show me both sides of the coin. Coming from someone whose childhood, love, respect, and self-worth came largely from achievements an...

You Can Be the Sweetest Peach, and Some Will Still Not Like You

There was one random day when I realized something that shook me to my core - the people I had shared my whole life with, the ones I thought I could trust, had started hating me. And you know the feeling - the mix of hurt, betrayal, confusion, self-doubt, and under-confidence that comes crashing down all at once. At first, I thought it was just one person. But, to my wry luck, it didn’t stop there. More and more people started disliking me. Grudges were held, false accusations were whispered, and each day brought a new rumor about me. And the worst part? These were people I used to call my “known ones.” Being the rebel teen I am, I started questioning why all this was happening. What was making all of these people so furious? And then, slowly, I understood. As I’ve mentioned in my previous blogs, I started taking internships, participating in uncountable MUNs, becoming rapporteur a lot of times, joining so many school clubs, and generally carving my own path. I started accomplishing th...

Becoming a Secretariat Member — From Admiration to Achievement

When I first started doing MUNs, the Secretariat teams felt almost untouchable to me. They were so professional, so charming, and carried themselves with an aura I couldn’t ignore. I was naturally drawn to their roles - the way they spoke, the way they coordinated everything, the way they held the entire conference together like its pillars. Watching them deliver speeches, manage delegates, host ceremonies, and handle crises with grace felt almost magical. Their presence was enlightening, and somewhere inside me, I just silently wished to be one of them someday. And then, it happened. Without me even asking for it, the opportunity to become a Secretariat member came to me on its own. It felt like pure manifestation, as if God had heard every silent hope I had carried within me. The moment I was offered the position, I was overwhelmed in the best way. Excitement, pride, gratitude - everything hit at once. I couldn’t believe I was finally stepping into the very role I had admired for so ...

How LinkedIn Stopped Feeling “Too Adult” and Became My Space

When I was younger, I genuinely believed LinkedIn was only meant for adults with jobs, suits, and serious careers. The idea that students could have LinkedIn accounts never even crossed my mind. So when I first found out people my age were on LinkedIn, I was honestly astonished. It felt too grown-up, too professional, too out of reach. I used to get flabbergasted seeing people’s achievements on that platform. My own sister had a LinkedIn account, and one day she convinced me to make mine too. I was terrified. I thought I wouldn’t fit in. I felt like I had nothing worthy to write down, no “real” accomplishments, nothing that would make me look like I belonged there. Still, with her help, I created my LinkedIn profile. Even after making it, I couldn’t shake the thought that the platform was “too adult” for me. But as I started connecting with people my age, I had my first big reality check. I saw students just like me but 10 steps ahead. Until then, I used to think I had enough achi...

My Third Internship at SheCan Foundation-Fundraising for a Fairer World

If there’s one thing that has always stirred something deep within me, it’s the idea of equality-especially gender equality. I’ve never understood why opportunities, respect, and recognition are still filtered through the lens of gender in so many parts of our society. So when I got the chance to intern with SheCan Foundation as a Virtual Fundraiser, I knew this wasn’t just another internship, it was a chance to channel my beliefs into action. Even though it was my third internship, I was still learning the ropes of the professional world. But what I lacked in experience, I made up for in determination. Every task I took up- from reaching out for donations to spreading awareness about the foundation’s mission - felt meaningful. I wasn’t just fundraising; I was advocating. I wasn’t convincing people to donate out of sympathy - I was encouraging them to contribute out of belief -belief in women’s capability, strength, and right to thrive. Working with SheCan Foundation made me reali...

My Second Internship at InAmigos Foundation- A Small Step That Meant A Lot

When I joined InAmigos Foundation as a Content Writing Intern, I wasn’t an expert. I wasn’t fully confident either. I was still learning what internships really meant. But what I did have was willingness - to show up, to learn, and to contribute in every way I could. From July 27, 2025 to August 9, 2025, I worked on: Writing meaningful content for different initiatives Supporting awareness campaigns through words Taking responsibility for every assignment - even when I wasn’t fully sure how to start I won’t pretend it was perfect. There were moments of doubt, hesitation, and overthinking. But there were also moments of growth, satisfaction, and quiet happiness whenever I completed something I never imagined I could do. And then-something unexpected happened. I didn’t just receive my Internship Certificate… I also received a Certificate of Appreciation. That one line - “for dedicated efforts and valuable contributions, reflecting a strong sense of responsibility and commitment” - meant ...

My First Internship at Hamari Pahchan NGO-The Beginning of My Growth

My journey into internships started in the most unexpected way. I wasn’t even looking for one-I was searching for MUN opportunities when I accidentally came across Hamari Pahchan NGO’s virtual internship program. I had no exposure to the professional world, no idea how internships worked, but something told me to apply. That one decision became a turning point. Stepping into Hamari Pahchan as a first-time intern felt surreal. I was excited, nervous, and completely new to the internship world. But from day one, I made a promise to myself- no matter how small or big the task, I’ll give it my best. And I did. During my internship, I got to work on designing posters, creating content for social media, running digital media campaigns, helping with crowdfunding, drafting legal documents, and even working individually as a social entrepreneurship project lead. For someone who had never done any of this before - it was huge. The best part? My mentor. She was extremely supportive and encouragin...
